Feed your family for $50.00 a week!

This guide is meant to help you feed your family for around $50.00 a week. When designing the menu, we have assumed that you will be feeding a family of 4. For this reason, if you have more, or less people in your household, you may either be over, or under the $50.00 a week price. Also, if you have children in school, you may not always need to prepare lunches. Use these unused lunches as a way of saving even more money, or use the extra towards a special night out to eat or a really special home cooked dinner such as a turkey!

We have checked our prices in many stores in our area to make sure they're realistic, and have found that if you shop around, you can find the items we list in our shopping guide for the prices they are listed with. If prices in your area are higher, you may not be able to get away with $50.00 a week, but you should be able to come close.

Shopping list, menus...etc

The guide is set up as follows: Shopping List, Menus for days 1 - 14. We suggest you visit these pages in order, print each page (directions below) and get shopping! Some meals may require you to make certain items ahead of time (I.e. the night before), so we also suggest that you check the next days menu each night to see if there is anything you need to do. This will save time in the morning!

Using this Guide

Using this guide is quite simple. To go to the shopping list simply click on the NEXT link near the bottom or at the top of this introduction. Each page will have a next and previous page link at the top of the page. You may also use the menu to your left to jump to a certain page at any time.

When looking at the daily menus, any meal names that are printed in a larger font and are underlined may be clicked on to take you directly to the recipe for that meal.

If you would like to print out any of the pages without all of the other text and menus on the page, look for the printer friendly button () and click it. This will open up a blank white screen with the shopping list, or each of the daily menus. Click on the "Print this page" button to print it out. Simply close the new window to get back to the guide. Now, let's begin, click on NEXT (Shopping list) to start!
