Louis Vuitton Steamer Trunk, John Deere Christmas Ornaments, put stuff to work 4 you
I love to have a nice birthday party for our daughter every year and on certain occassions, when possible like Valentine's Day, Halloween, Easter or Christmas. It is a good opportunity for her to spend time with her friends, get creative and make new bonds. It also creates good memories from her childhood she can look back on, I hope. The parties can be pricey, especially when we include sports she enjoys like a swim party, gymnastics party, or outdoor even. As such with our income only being about $8000 a year currently the idea of spending $500 on a party would not be within our reach if not for rummage sales, church sales, thrift stores, Salvation Army or Goodwill. With these we are able to give her pretty nice parties by investing in these stores and Ebay? How? By getting things there and selling them for a good profit on Ebay. Some examples that we bought in the last year were: A NWT (new with tags) escada coat for $5, we sold for $250. It saved the buyer 1500 as the coat new in Macy's cost $1750. It was the same design worn by Angela Jolie and Sarah Jessica Parker in the movie "Wanted" and "Sex and the City." Profit for us after ebay and paypal got their cut about $200. At a church rummage sale we got an Exin Castle for $1. Sold on ebay for $150. Profit after ebay and paypal fees was about $130. We got an antique slot car from Salvation Army, used in box, by Russ Kit for $3. We sold it for $130. After ebay and paypal's fees we made about $120. The point is keep your eyes peeled and look up values, even of unexpected items. We netted $450 from about $8 in purchases and Anna had her parties. You can of course invest the money, take a trip, buy some groceries or whatever you want by selling simple items. Right now we are watching out for the Louis Vuitton antique steamer trunks at sales, they bring in $1000-$5000 a piece and you can pick them up for $250-$500 normally. The 1st 1990's John Deere Christmas Hand Painted Pewter Christmas ornament brings in $300-$600 I watch out for that, and if I owned it would pull it from the tree and sell it to have some nice new presents for my family under it. Good luck! Share your successes with the forum. We love to hear about them. |
